The Sci-Fi Cafe

The Sci-Fi Cafe experience is a bit unexpected for me and my friends in one of our impromptu get-together. This place was chosen by my friend when we were deciding on where to have our lunch meet-up, and we just wanted to try something new.

We were really excited about the whole experience and we were not able to take much pictures of what we ordered that time (just bits of what was served and no food photo op happened! haha). Their food is great with a touch of different sci-fi films title which will also make you order by just looking at the title! :)  Their serving size is intended for sharing and may feed 2 hungry tummies or 3 petite appetite.

Our first orders were: The Two Towers. A combination of calamari and onion rings, served with fries and dip. and Armageddon.10-inch thin crust pizza with beef, pepperoni, salami and mozzarella cheese - this is a bit greasy, but it's a pizza, deal with it. It still tastes good anyway.

Van Hellswing. Chicken wings with a good sweet BBQ taste with fries on the side. Hey, there's Mr. Potatohead, also wants to munch with the group!

It's also the birthday of my friend, then. What's the best way to greet her? Say it with a cake. Sweet chocolate and vanilla flavored cakes. There are different characters to choose from the Sci-Fi Cakes!

We  expected to see some action figures and comic books displayed in the resto (okay, I actually didn't researched about the place since I trust their choice... haha). When I arrived in the place, my friend told me that they allow their guests to try on some "costumes" and have a photo op while wearing them. This is really very interesting since items like that is rarely shared by collectors given the high value of those items.

Their readings materials are really amazing. It's not just any regular comic books but a collector's item. These can be borrowed too, but certain rules apply.

I'll be sharing some of our crazy moments trying on different costumes. Would you believe, we stayed there for more than 4 hours! We had so much fun that we didn't notice that we've been there for that long.

Captain America. Both the outfit - a cute hoodie, and the shield is available there. I so love this one!

(LEFT) Obligatory groupies. Naturally, this get together will not be complete without a group shot. Here we are, sporting our different peg for the day. All inspired by our crazy creative minds.

(RIGHT) Handle with care! I'm not sure where these items are from, but we just wanted to try these out. The samurais are pretty good replica and feels a little bit sharp too. So it's really a must to handle this very carefully if you do not want to end up nursing your wounded hand - haha. :)

Harry Potter fanatics will surely love this place. They offer real good items from the movie for

you to try on. As shown in the picture, you may strike a pose with the broomstick, different wands, robes, Harry's accessories like the tie and glasses. Excuse us for using Madhatter's top hat here. We just find it so cute.

May the force be with you. Need I say more? Various Star Wars items can also be borrowed. If the items are hanged somewhere and you feel like taking a shot, just ask if the item can be pulled out for photo ops.

The collection is really amazing that even if you're really not a fan of action figures, you'll love to visit this place. The collection ranges from kiddie themed toys, comic book characters, up to movie-inspired items. They have items from Toy Story, Barbie version of the Twilight and other Disney princesses for the kids and kids-at-heart to enjoy with. Action figures like Star Wars, Michael Jackson, Iron Man, The Avengers and a whole lot more can also be seen here! You should not miss those life size replicas of Samurai, Gondor staff, and Braveheart sword. If you want to know more about each item, you may ask the servers or the owner himself. I believe he always stays here ready to share things with his patrons.

Cool Tony Stark/Iron Man collection for you to stare. I'm sorry about all these Iron Man thingy, I'm really fascinated by the movie and add these items to that!

The Claws of Wolverine. As per their Facebook page, this item is quite new and arrived just in time for the movie Wolverine. Yes, you can try on the claws but the tips are really sharp. So be extra careful when trying on this item.

This place really made our get-together really fun and worthwhile. I'm looking forward to go back here with my friends for me to share with them good food and great experience.

Sci-Fi Cafe is located at the 4th floor of Robinson's Galleria (behind Tom's World). For more information and updates about the site, visit and like their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TheSciFiCafe
