Confidently Beautiful with a Heart... and an inspiration to many.

3 things I learned from Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach:

1. You are born a winner. You're job is to prove it.
The moment you are conceived, the day you were born, up to this very day, already makes you a winner. But that also gives each and every one around you that same priviledge. How do you get that winner's edge, prove it to the world! Pia knows her game. She knows that she got it all, that she deserves much better. Since she was young, according to articles and news spreading around, she has worked hard for her family. Not only that, young Pia already manifested her beauty queen persona as she was very keen in her craft on modelling. She entered show business but did not really created a big noise, though she is known in the industry. Her batchmates had already created a name, Pia has her own stage, and that's to be a beauty queen, where she focused later on.

2. Never adjust your dreams, you have to adjust for your dreams.
She tried 3x before finally making it. She almost failed in her second attempt which quite had her think if she should still continue pursuing this. But she's courageous enough to stand strong and face the world more confident than ever! But thats not all, in between the pageants, it was told that she is really into her game by doing her best to improve, listen to her mentors and change for the better. Lo and behold, her efforts paid off. She became the Binibining Pilipinas 2015, the country's official representative to the Miss Universe pageant. Now, she's Miss Universe 2015, our Queen P. 👑

3. Feel it until you make it!
Law of Attraction. You attract what you are, you attract what you want. There are several instances that Pia confidently claimed the crown. The moment she won as Binibining Pilipinas 2015 and became the country's representative for Miss Universe 2015, every moment possible and every time asked about it, she would promptly respond as such. Many interviews and articles floated after the coronation night of Miss Universe 2015 about this. Take this screenshot of her tweet as a solid evidence.

This tweet was created after Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao in their boxing match last May 2015.

Well in the first place, she went there to compete and get the crown, not just to simply represent our country to fill that stage. 👌🏼

There are more than hundred reasons and ways our Queen P has inspired many. Let this victory be our guide in achieving our own success! Bring it on 2016!

Podcasts: My Kind of Entertainment

And I'm back to my old habit of listening to podcasts! I've been thinking of starting this blog way back early 2014 but I had few schedules that kept me busy for a while.
To start off, we must first define what a podcast means. PODCAST as defined by Meriam Webster Dictionary is a program (as of music or talk) made available in digital format for automatic download over the Internet. For me, it's basically the most convenient way of sharing your creative media files with people who might find your material interesting. It is a good avenue of sharing your skills and talent to the world, without having you pay much or going through all those tedious audition to fit for a project. A normal but creative group of people can start a podcast and make it far too. Make sure you also encourage people to hear or watch your thing to gain followers and be a future star (you'll never know until you try!). I myself would want to have my own podcast thing to be shared to public. Like a talk show kind! :)

Anyway, all I want to share with this blog is some reviews (just my thoughts) of podcasts that I've listened to and currently following.

The Cave Podcast. This is the first podcast that I followed from Day 1 to date. It's a show catered for men who wants to get practical advise from men. Hosted by Rovilson Fernandez, Mark Nelson, Stephen Khu and Erwan Huessaff, this show would really give a man good answers on their question about being a true guy. Each week, they have interesting topics with bonus of a (hot) female guest which would give a twist on whatever will be tackled. The female guest would also voice out their opinion on how men should/could be, giving the audience the opinion from both sides of sexuality. What I also love about this podcast is that they would have the setup in different places, like the host's pad or a restobar which they may also own or that of their sponsor. Housed by extrarice.tv, its available through iTunes, and YouTube.

Coffee Break. On the other hand, is an all-female show which tackles some girly stuff and also socially relevant topics, hosted by Chely Esguerra, Lynn Pinugu, Ana Oposa and Bianca Gonzales. This got my interest mainly because of a post by Bianca G. about the podcast and the rest is history. Its a weekly show and they normally start off by giving their piece of fact for the day and ends it with Top 5 about the day's topic. They also invite over guests who is an expert or mindful of the topic to be discussed. It's under New Media Factory TV (NMFTv) It's available via iTunes only.
