Pancake House March Steal Deal

I've always been a fan of Pancake House menu - but not really a fan of pancakes (I know, how ironic. haha). Every time we dine at Pancake House, I play around trying different main courses - not to mention, I get good chance of trying it for less price with their Choose any 2 for Php399 promo. But again, I can't remember if I have ever ordered any of their pancakes.

Not until when I saw their facebook post about Pancake Saving Mondays in celebration of National Pancake Month last March 2019. They offered Mini Pancakes (special offer) for only Php45, with no minimum order required! Isn't a steal for a great tasting food? See post details HERE.

Fast forward to the last Monday of March, coz I almost forgot about the deal (make sure to calendar these things esp. if you are into exploring great food deals!) I dropped by their Dela Rosa Carpark 2 branch in Makati. I intentionally wanted to just order the Mini Pancakes - which I initially did. While waiting for my cutie order, I glanced upon their Booky QR code and reminded me that I have the app as well. Upon checking, I can combine my Pancake Saving Mondays promo with the Booky deal.

Pancake House is a restaurant brand by Max's group. Booky houses great deals by Max's group.

I am such a fan of Pancake House's Best Taco in Town, no questions asked on what I chose from what their Booky deal. I really love the blend of their taco ingredients, especially the generous amount of cheese every time I order it. They make their own taco shell that is not too salty (like the usual hard shell tacos around) and really has a distinct taste. This is the taco they also use in their Fiesta Taco Salad - which my family love too!

Let's now see how my first remembered pancake experience with Pancake House goes. I personally love checking out food deals from different restaurants as I consider that a good chance for me to try what they offer at a promotional price. Thus, the reason why I intentionally went to Pancake House just to try their Mini Pancakes*. Whoa, I never thought I'd love their pancakes as how I love their other menu items!  Other pancakes really taste just like a little sweet  and smooth bread for me. Bit this one is different. The softness and smoothness feeling of their pancake kept me sated but it's not something that I won't be craving soon. The butter and maple syrup blends well when spread on top of the pancakes - believe me, not all butter/maple is the same, or maybe its really also about their pancake? :)

* Mini Pancakes are just for promotional offer (Pancake Saving Mondays) last March 2019.

Confidently Beautiful with a Heart... and an inspiration to many.

3 things I learned from Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach:

1. You are born a winner. You're job is to prove it.
The moment you are conceived, the day you were born, up to this very day, already makes you a winner. But that also gives each and every one around you that same priviledge. How do you get that winner's edge, prove it to the world! Pia knows her game. She knows that she got it all, that she deserves much better. Since she was young, according to articles and news spreading around, she has worked hard for her family. Not only that, young Pia already manifested her beauty queen persona as she was very keen in her craft on modelling. She entered show business but did not really created a big noise, though she is known in the industry. Her batchmates had already created a name, Pia has her own stage, and that's to be a beauty queen, where she focused later on.

2. Never adjust your dreams, you have to adjust for your dreams.
She tried 3x before finally making it. She almost failed in her second attempt which quite had her think if she should still continue pursuing this. But she's courageous enough to stand strong and face the world more confident than ever! But thats not all, in between the pageants, it was told that she is really into her game by doing her best to improve, listen to her mentors and change for the better. Lo and behold, her efforts paid off. She became the Binibining Pilipinas 2015, the country's official representative to the Miss Universe pageant. Now, she's Miss Universe 2015, our Queen P. 👑

3. Feel it until you make it!
Law of Attraction. You attract what you are, you attract what you want. There are several instances that Pia confidently claimed the crown. The moment she won as Binibining Pilipinas 2015 and became the country's representative for Miss Universe 2015, every moment possible and every time asked about it, she would promptly respond as such. Many interviews and articles floated after the coronation night of Miss Universe 2015 about this. Take this screenshot of her tweet as a solid evidence.

This tweet was created after Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao in their boxing match last May 2015.

Well in the first place, she went there to compete and get the crown, not just to simply represent our country to fill that stage. 👌🏼

There are more than hundred reasons and ways our Queen P has inspired many. Let this victory be our guide in achieving our own success! Bring it on 2016!

Starbucks Special Menu: Dirty Chai

This is the exact same spot where I first met Dirty Chai. Starbucks - Villar St in Salcedo, Makati. I needed a place to stay while I wait for a friend who works nearby. My category for getting a place that night: power outlet. Yes, you read that right, power outlet again. I am very keen about this every single time because I always ran out of battery. Talk about a gadget freak who don't normally get her gadgets recharged.

Anyway, going back to the topic, I did't know what to get that night and I just want a simple drink and the barista recommended one of Starbuck's secret menu, the Dark Chai. I loved how the espresso perfectly blended with the Chai Tea taste. At least I would now have a variety if I only wanted a simple kick, yet enjoying a simple taste of one of my favorite drink. So what does a Dark Chai contains:

1. Order your usual Chai Tea Latte
2. Request for a shot of espresso added to your drink
3. Smile at your friendly barista, get your drink and ENJOY!

Get it anytime at any Starbuck branch near you. :)
